Rupert W Brown's Archive

I have spent forty years designing and building technology based systems in software for aerospace (and other things) and am relieved to find at the end of all that, I do have something to show for it. Rather than hide it away and forget about it, I am publishing the better bits on this website. Whether you find any of it to be of value is another matter, but I hope you do. After all, sharing information is why Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web in the first place.

Nobody achieves great outcomes on their own and I have been fortunate to work with some good people, and cursed to have had to deal with some right idiots. You know about that - that is life. If nothing else, the idiots show you just how valuable the good people are. Some of the resources here I developed with other people, and will always be grateful for that collaboration.

Should you want to get in touch for any reason, send me an e-mail to the address at the bottom of the page. I'm currently designing a space pirate ship based on a flying boat, vital work, but will check that box occassionally.

All the best, Rupert

Staying calm under pressure image

It is very important to remain calm at all times, especially when everybody around you has become completely unhinged. Your calm state of mind will help you to think clearly and thus create solutions that ultimately save the day. Staying calm also means staying fresh. There really is nothing worse than somebody who is panicking and brings an unpleasant body odour to the crisis - and I think you already know who I mean.
